I have a Cisco router with the following configurations:
- Interface: GigabitEthernet0/0.10
- IP Address: 10.10.10.1
- DHCP Pool: Configured for VLAN 10
- Default Gateway: 10.10.10.1
- Interface: GigabitEthernet0/0.20
- IP Address: 10.10.20.1
- DHCP Pool: Configured for VLAN 20
- Default Gateway: 10.10.20.1
I’ve also set up VLANs 10 and 20 on my Layer 2 switch and configured Telnet access on the switch. While I can access the router from both PCs, I’m unable to access the switch through Telnet.
Additionally, I assigned an IP address of 10.10.30.1 with a subnet mask of 255.255.0.0 to the VLAN 1 interface on the switch. However, I’m facing an issue where I cannot ping this management IP from either PC.
Can you help me understand why I’m encountering these connectivity issues with the switch’s management IP?
i need to access switch though telnet from both vlan
