Can someone tell me why we get the reliability issue on an interface?

reliability 255/255 like this if we get this it means no issue but suppose if we get 40/255then what could be the issue

60% it will be cabling issue

Ok so when we get crc and input errors

Input and CRC errrors occured when we have issue in the SFP or local cabling

So you mean the reliability and crc errors we get because of cabling issue.
Correct me if I am wrong

To troubleshoot reliability issues on a Cisco interface, you can perform the following steps:

  • Check physical connections and cables for any signs of damage.
  • Verify interface configurations and ensure they match the intended setup.
  • Monitor the interface for errors, collisions, and drops using network monitoring tools.
  • Update the device firmware and software to the latest stable release.
  • Ensure the interface is not overloaded by checking bandwidth utilization.
  • Investigate the network traffic for any unusual patterns or congestion.
  • Conduct power supply checks to ensure stable power delivery to the device.
  • Identify and mitigate sources of external interference.
